Origin of the League

Founded in 1929 amid rate instability in the southern United States, NCLTL started as the North Carolina Traffic League with a mission to stabilize and improve the transportation sector. Initially funded by Julius Cone of Cone Mills and chartered during Governor O. Max Gardner’s term, it has grown to include a broad spectrum of transportation and logistics professionals.
